"THAT was wicked!"

so, i finally got to see The Incredibles. now i get what all the fuss was about!

last night i watched Shall We Dance. i absolutely loved it. i don't care what the haters say. there was this one line that Susan Sarandon said about being married, saying to the other person "your life will not go unnoticed, because i will notice you". that made me cry.

ok, i'm all movied out. back to my Ragamuffin Gospel. i'm totally loving it. i can see why i couldn't concentrate on it while i was on such a high dosage of topamax though. even clear headed, i read the first three chapters 3 times. and the next three chapters, i keep going back and re reading things. and i have to keep stopping to read parts out loud to people because it's so awesoome and i just want to share it. obviously it's not pure pleasure reading. but, sometimes i take a break from my devouring of novels. now that i can actually concentrate, i may make my 50 books plus this year. over the weekend, i actually read The Horse and His Boy one evening. just for fun.

I'm Feeling: tired tired

A few years ago, I read all 7 Chronicles of Narnia in one week end... what fun.

now that's a weekend to aspire to!!

I heard that line in a preview and almost burst into tears then and there.

there are a few moments like that! i told my boss that i'm not sure tht people who haven't been married can fully appreciate this movie, and people who have been in a long marriage will appreciate it more i think. she said her dad watched it twice!

p.s. that line just speaks to one of my own big fears. it was affirming to know that i'm not the only one in the world with those thoughts!

I saw the original Japanese version of Shall We Dance, and really liked it--so Susan Sarandon is in it? Hmm.
I have not seen The Incredibles--I keep planning to see it and Hotel Rwanda, and my plans get thwarted somehow.

i SOOO want to see the original version! they showed a trailer of it on this dvd, it looks wonderful.

i know people who won't watch this one because Susan Sarandon is in it or Richard Gere is in it, or both. there really missing out! religion and politics aside, i love them both.

oh--I didn't know ppl had problems w/ either one of them. I was just trying to figure out which rule Susan played, based on my memory of the original. What role did she play?

she plays the wife, Mrs. Clark (Richard Gere's wife)

ah--I'm thinking the original is pretty different. I need to see the new one and compare.

yes do so we can talk about it!

i love that movie. and i love peter gabriel's cover of the magnetic field's 'book of love' even more.

i CRIED when that song played, one of the best placements of a song in a movie EVER.

So, you finally listened to the fat kid and watched "The Incredibles", eh?

I am glad you liked it!

i finally listened to the SMART kid....

i loved it, oops ... did you feel the earth shift?

I love that movie.

i love that picture
