so, i finally got to see The Incredibles. now i get what all the fuss was about!
last night i watched Shall We Dance. i absolutely loved it. i don't care what the haters say. there was this one line that Susan Sarandon said about being married, saying to the other person "your life will not go unnoticed, because i will notice you". that made me cry.
ok, i'm all movied out. back to my Ragamuffin Gospel. i'm totally loving it. i can see why i couldn't concentrate on it while i was on such a high dosage of topamax though. even clear headed, i read the first three chapters 3 times. and the next three chapters, i keep going back and re reading things. and i have to keep stopping to read parts out loud to people because it's so awesoome and i just want to share it. obviously it's not pure pleasure reading. but, sometimes i take a break from my devouring of novels. now that i can actually concentrate, i may make my 50 books plus this year. over the weekend, i actually read The Horse and His Boy one evening. just for fun.

"THAT was wicked!"
there are a few moments like that! i told my boss that i'm not sure tht people who haven't been married can fully appreciate this movie, and people who have been in a long marriage will appreciate it more i think. she said her dad watched it twice! p.s. that line just speaks to one of my own big fears. it was affirming to know that i'm not the only one in the world with those thoughts! i SOOO want to see the original version! they showed a trailer of it on this dvd, it looks wonderful. |
